Call the Exterminator

Kids pick up lines can be the worst. The girls kids are back to school and that means pick up lines for elementary kids and teen drivers on the road.  Be careful out there with the change in pace. Danna actually has to get up and forgo her Today Show and coffee hour to drive her oldest two to school. Kristin will be sleeping in since her kids drive themselves…..if only she would sleep in. Hot breakfast verses canned cinnamon rolls. Not that there is anything wrong with Pillsbury, Kristin’s kids just have a different preference. School lunches and these kids are picky! Someone call the exterminator, Bill and Campbell think Kristin had bugs in her ears….it was a really situation. It’s been an interesting week, from Danna and her big spill to Olivia and Campbell podcasting from band camp. Twister

New location and Danna and Kristin switched sides for podcasting .Twisters, power outages and lots of down trees. That can’t stop these two from podcasting. Kristin survived the Ohio State Fair and a trip to Ohio Military Kids Camp today on Kelly’s Island. They got off the island before they shut down the ferry. 
Kids are busy in school activities but tomorrow due to no power there are no activities. 
Danna has been busy interviewing teens to work at the Market and Farm. Some of the answers these kids give are entertaining. Teens hobby’s these day are interesting. Also starting fires is probably not something you put on your resume. Kristin shares some simple interview tips. 
Question Time. You have to listen to what question was asked and people’s answers. 
There is a new scarecrow in town. Mr. Pumpkin Head will be on display at the Market. Danna shares her big announcement, she’s been out in a real pickle. The podcast cuts off rather abruptly because Kristin hit the wrong button.

Ocean Pee

Kristin has never been more excited to podcast! We raz Bob from @Rogish Farm a little, it’s almost time to go cut sunflowers! Danna turned her blueberries from Rogish Farm into delicious blueberry muffins. Danna does occasionally bake from scratch, she likes to pretend she doesn’t but she can! It is @OhioStateFair time friends. Now through Sunday August 4th.Danna does not get showing animals and Kristin tries to explain why this time honored horrible dirty gross process of raising meat chickens is worth it. 😂😂The girls chat a bit about dealing with all sorts of people and leadership styles. Are you a pool person or a beach person? Danna loves the waves and shares about her very relaxing vacation. Do you pee in the ocean? Picky Pam

Danna flew the coop and she and her fam are in Marco Island enjoying some beach and family time. It’s an odd topic but funeral clothes shopping is a thing. We discuss Danna and her families shopping habits, matching vacation outfits and more.Birthday gifting giving, Danna’s sister in law is a great gifter and all her kids got Gooder sun glasses, look them up, they are fun and fashionable.It’s that time of year parents…get those school physicals done and turned in. Kristin got all the kids forms mixed up and it was a real site at the minute clinic in CVS. Kristin highly recommends the minute clinic for physicals. Bad parenting moments at the pediatrician office, yup we have all had them. And somehow this podcast ends with lice…..don’t miss the end.

Ghosted

It’s the final week before 4-H Summer project judging. This is thr worst week ever in houses with multiple kids and multiple projects. Danna’s family is officially a 4-H family making posters and buying stocking up on rubber cement. GPS, do you follow it when it switches up your usual route? Bill and Kristin love to give good gifts. We gave the Geraci boys both gel blaster guns for their birthday. If you listened to last week’s episode you know Mr. Branch (kids band director) was our guest. He treated us to cupcakes. This week he dropped off chocolate covered strawberries for us to sample. Only one catch….they are Ghost Pepper strawberries. Danna nearly died, Bill was being a real man keeping it cool and Kristin’s lip were on fire. While we love Frosting and Fire cupcakes when he says it’s HOT, he means it. Amazon Prime Days are here, neither one of us bought anything of real importance but we share a deal great deals.Kristin tells a really good Bill story about him and his bucket at a sheep show.

The Trumpet Player and Cupcake Maker

We are thrilled to welcome a very special guest, Mr. Branch. He happens to be the kids band teacher/director and the owner of Frosting and Fire an amazing cupcake and hot sauce business.
We do a live taste test of his cupcakes, they are simply delicious. I mean these are light fluffy and the famous frosting is tried and true. Jason shares a personal story of how he found his love of baking. We chat band mentality and just how his musical career has evolved. He has a gift of connecting with kids through music which transforms all the way through their education.  We had so much to chat about including baking socks that we never really got to the hot sauce. Listen in, it’s so good to hear about how this teacher  is impacting his students and baking up goodness one cupcake at a time.

Danna got her hair chopped and it looks so cute just like a Karen. Danna talks about some new TikTok, reel things that’s gone wild and Kristin thinks it’s appropriate.

Blackstone vs. Border Leicester

What does cheese burger fried rice and Border Leicester Bottoms have in common? NOTHING absolutely nothing. You may even say what is a Border Leicester, it is a breed of sheep. The girls Friday nights were vastly different. Kristin and the kids had the trifecta of sheep shows and Kristin tried to get wild and have a pool party with the 9 and under crowd. She nearly missed her kids show. Danna spent her weekend being friendly with people attending concerts and living her best life. Kristin learned all about NASCAR while in Charlotte at the Hall of Fame and got to meet a super cool Hall of Fame member , a guy named  Dale Earnhardt Jr. Mr. Branchs Frosting and Fire cupcake business got a new customer from a listener, how exciting. Danna also offers our very first discount code for cupcakes but it’s not really real, it was a funny.  Breaking news, Danna’s mom Heidi listens to our podcast and she gave access to Danna to join her Life 360 circle.

Punishment

Punishment Remote Podcast alert. Kristin is on a trip with Bill that is not a vacation but Danna says when you sleep in a hotel with your husband and no kids it’s a vacation. Kristin refuses to wear shorts but in this extreme heat she had to and she blinded Danna with her white legs. It’s strange but true, Kristin has reached the point in her life where she wants to start tracking her parents. Life 360 here you come for parents. Danna says her Mom will not agree to it but Kristin thinks her parents will jump on board. Anyone else track their parents? Kristin’s kids renamed their house on Life 360, teens are always an adventure.
One of the girls had a run in with the local post office, it’s a real FOWL story. Danna shares a parenting hard moment and how she is actually had to follow through with a punishment with Joey. Kristin thought she would cave but hasn’t yet. Hold your ears at the end Bill has a shower cough that made their podcast….you have to listen to understand why Bill is in the shower during the podcast
