Blackstone vs. Border Leicester

What does cheese burger fried rice and Border Leicester Bottoms have in common? NOTHING absolutely nothing. You may even say what is a Border Leicester, it is a breed of sheep. The girls Friday nights were vastly different. Kristin and the kids had the trifecta of sheep shows and Kristin tried to get wild and have a pool party with the 9 and under crowd. She nearly missed her kids show. Danna spent her weekend being friendly with people attending concerts and living her best life. Kristin learned all about NASCAR while in Charlotte at the Hall of Fame and got to meet a super cool Hall of Fame member , a guy named  Dale Earnhardt Jr. Mr. Branchs Frosting and Fire cupcake business got a new customer from a listener, how exciting. Danna also offers our very first discount code for cupcakes but it’s not really real, it was a funny.  Breaking news, Danna’s mom Heidi listens to our podcast and she gave access to Danna to join her Life 360 circle.

Punishment

Punishment Remote Podcast alert. Kristin is on a trip with Bill that is not a vacation but Danna says when you sleep in a hotel with your husband and no kids it’s a vacation. Kristin refuses to wear shorts but in this extreme heat she had to and she blinded Danna with her white legs. It’s strange but true, Kristin has reached the point in her life where she wants to start tracking her parents. Life 360 here you come for parents. Danna says her Mom will not agree to it but Kristin thinks her parents will jump on board. Anyone else track their parents? Kristin’s kids renamed their house on Life 360, teens are always an adventure.
One of the girls had a run in with the local post office, it’s a real FOWL story. Danna shares a parenting hard moment and how she is actually had to follow through with a punishment with Joey. Kristin thought she would cave but hasn’t yet. Hold your ears at the end Bill has a shower cough that made their podcast….you have to listen to understand why Bill is in the shower during the podcast

Frosting and Fire

Hello Everyone! We hope you are having a wonderful week! Tom and Danna try to have a conversation while the girls are taping. This is how busy everyone has been, they see each other during the podcast. Mr. Branch the best Music teacher ever stopped by the Patterson Farm to check out the playground with his kiddos. He has a cupcake and hot sauce business that Kristin didn’t know about. Kristin loves toddlers and select elementary kids, she had a blast entertaining the kids on the playground. We talk about going to the Dentist. Danna finally switched over to the Patterson Family dentist. Their  dentist happens to be the brother of Bob from Rogish Farms. We don’t like to pick favorites here but maybe they did. 
Summertime is here and the kids are all off into different directions at all the camps. Kristin and the kids went sheep showing this past weekend. It’s always a hoot when  woman drives a big truck and trailer…you get all the looks. Danna thinks her pre teen is starting to act like a teen and family laundry folding….make it a new thing in your house, it’s more fun.  Do you have a Dr. in your family? Danna does and she will share a funny.

Kristin Goes to Camp

This week has been full up lots of up and a down for Danna and her family with the loss of her Grandpa. Find out what Pitutes means and why it’s special to her. Danna share about her experience Retreat 21 celebrating her little brother’s wedding. AU is the symbol of gold and Kristin’s highly intelligent husband has a little funny. 
Kristin share about Camp Ohio one of Ohio 4-H camps that Jack is currently at and she visited this week. She is back to driving up and down 71 as a hobby with all the kids activities. Let’s not forget the show season is starting…sheep show season. Clearly this is not Danna and it’s Kristin in her crew.

The Chipmunk Chase

Long days…have any of you had those lately? We all have them let’s face it, it’s part of living. Strawberry season on the farm and it’s the berry sweetest of seasons. Danna doesn’t do mornings and she has to get up extra early.Kristin is wearing stickers on her face, they are Frownies, check them out, Kristin loves them. Strawberries sometimes get bad press. They make the top of the Dirty Dozen list each year. We set the record straight on food safety in America.  A woman could eat 453 servings of strawberries in one day without any effect even if the strawberries have the highest pesticide residue recorded for strawberries by USDA.
A chipmunk made its way into the Patterson house. How many people does it take to vacate said chipmunk out of the house? 1 barn cat, 1 Mom, 1 Dad and Campbell. 
Find out what Danna’s dogs eat, Tom (Danna’s husband) is out of town and Danna has to mix up their special food. She’s really missing Tom, he’s off golfing.

The Graduate

Parker Graduated from 8th grade, do we really need all these graduations? Danna shares her view and I know it’s shocking but the mismatched pair may agree on something. 
What do you do if your phone rings at a public event? One person thought they should answer it on speaker.
We may have reached an all time low and discuss weaning of rabbits, we is used loosely it’s really Kristin. Danna confirms again she is not sure why she is friends with a person who has to check rabbit nipples. 
Kristin went turkey hunting without a gun…don’t worry she had a cute outfit. 
Danna kicks off the Memorial Day weekend tanning at her pool…..it’s the start of Summer friends!!!

Beefing

Danna has had a day and well she and her husband are beefing. Kristin is talking gardening and shared how she did not turn water into wine but did turn two plants into 7. Kristin also runs a little plant nursery hospital which has turned into an entire new bed. 
It’s sort of shocking but Danna has a real green thumb and really enjoys vegetable gardening. Italian Roma tomatoes are her thing.Danna declares she does not want to be friends with people, she needs a people less moment. She also needs a time out from her husband touching her.

3 Little Pigs

Danna got a new grill! She is rearranging her backyard to make room for some new beds. She’s really turning over a new leaf. Role reversal. Kristin left the farm looking 1/2 way put together and Danna looks like she works at a farm. TikTok verses reels…which one is better and why? Forget Amazon shopping, Danna has moved on to TikTok shopping. Meghan Markle is releasing strawberry jam….it’s interesting. Kristin thinks she and Harry have purchased a farm and they are farmers. Danna thinks it’s all weird and Kristin pronounces it incorrectly the entire podcast. Welcome to the family Beau Mathew! Kristin is the very proud Aunt to her little sister and husband’s baby boy. Archie and Olive are very excited to have a new brother.
