Clams and College

Who the heck has ever heard of a clambake? It is totally not a Midwest thing but in NE Ohio it’s a thing of Fall. Next to @PattersonFruitFarm is the hottest thing to do during the Autumn season. 
Back to school happened for all our kiddos and it went as to be expected. A few forgotten things and trying to figure out where classes were…it was a typical back to school year.Danna had her first “are you Olivia’s Mom?” while volunteering in the football concession stand. Dorm life…do you think it’s ok if Kristin crashes Sam’s dorm on a Friday night to say hi!?

Danna gets the last word

For the 1st  in the history of our podcast Danna gets the last word. 
It’s back to school time in our houses and the hustle and bustle has hit us. Danna lectures Kristin on time management, she’s just jealous that Kristin is so good at it.

The Patio Podcast

We started podcasting while the sun was beginning to set and well life happened. We had this beautiful patio podcast backdrop and Danna spilled her drink on the computer, it stopped recording. Take 2 honestly turned out better than our first go. It’s all about Back to School. Time management and structure are things we are all going to learn in the next few weeks as kids go to school. 
It was load out meat chickens and turkey night, Danna supervised this job and really doesn’t like the meat chickens. 
Who has forgotten their child at practice? Don’t worry we both have and we think it’s totally normal.

The Trailer Episode

 
Some may be thinking The Mismatched Podcast may be making a movie with this episode title but don’t worry we are literally chatting about a stock trailer that hauls livestock. Danna was appalled when Kristin asked her if she wanted to camp in her new trailer. Much like country music the trailer is growing on Danna. The @ohiostatefair is here and if you are in Ohio you must visit the fair, it runs through August 6th. 
How do you and your significant other negotiate deals when making major purchases? We chat sales tactics and how some people may treat you different. 
Cedar Point is a fun place to visit and you can camp there, be sure to visit this super fun spot in Northern Ohio. 
We also clarify some geographic confusion on Kristin’s part…let’s be clear people in Scioto County do have teeth…it’s Pike County that needs more dentists. If you listened to the last episode this will all make sense.

Backseat Lovers

There was no lovin but lots of memories made with Campbell and Olivia when we tried to see the Backseat Lovers in concert at Kemba Live in Columbus, it was a road trip to remember. Kristin has a secret talent of drinking red-bull and still falling asleep like a person with narcolepsy.  Listen to learn what life lessons Danna and Kristin were able to teach their daughters while attending the concert. 
Kristin is more of a bad passenger than backseat lover, there is not much Danna loves about Kristin on a road trip. 
Breast Milk Jewelry…it’s a thing and Kristin sister had it made plus something else that she better not be giving away as Christmas gifts. Don’t worry Kristin just breast fed her kids until they were two…she didn’t have artifacts made out of her breast milk however. 
Kristin shared her story about her game cock that got loose in the rural king parking lot. It will really lift you out of your fowl mood.

If you don’t listen to this episode after that title you are missing out. Kristin has never heard a eulogy like the one Danna gave and she is sure she will never experience one like it ever again. Express Yourself…but not really

We recorded a few days earlier than usual because well…Danna and Co. hit the beach. We hope you find this episode piercing because we sure do. Noise rings and tattoos…where do you stand? We want to know. Danna reveals an old dirty habit too. Kristin used to go on dates with 5 men all at the same time…find out what her Sunday school teacher used to tell her about dating. Good old family reunions, as a child you loath them but as an adult you learn their importance.  Speaking of family and reunions, Danna lost her OG this week and we reminisce one very special lady. Her Gram claims to have been a guest on the @todayshow before she crossed over, Hoda and Savannah this woman loves you. We also share a very touching OG quote about her love affair with her husband of over 60 years.

Happy Birthday America!

Happy Birthday America! The 4th of July is  a happy time for our nation, parades and apparently poop. Danna talks candidly about what happens when she supports our local economy when enters certain stores to shop. Kristin freeloaded all weekend off her friends at a sheep show and then continues freeloading off Danna. She really didn’t freeload btw.
The Fast Food Draft takes place and apparently Kristin’s favorite place doesn’t count since it’s not a chain. The great debate of butter and catsup. Plus breaking news Danna now likes country music!

Farmer for a Day

Hugs all around from Danna. We get deep trying to understand why she dislikes human touch so much. Kristin was a guest on ​⁠​⁠ with our previous guest Jamie Sullivan.  Watch out Jamie Kristin may be coming for your job 🤣. Kristin shares an easy 4th of July snack made from watermelon and blueberries.  Danna learns what it is like to be a farmer for a day while Kristin was out of town.  Lets just say she has a new appreciation for the people who raise her groceries. 
Overall it’s a good episode…Danna loves to wear her overalls.

Pick Me I use Fowl Language

ok! Who knows/knew that there was such a thing as a “pick me girl”? Supposedly it’s a thing but we are not buying into it.  Find out what it means to kids these days. 
This episode contains some Fowl language, Danna is bothered by Kristin’s farm talk. We go over all the poultry terms for birds of various ages. 
We finally had a few minutes to do the Danna Kristin Potato Draft…big stuff here, no food tastes as good as a potato. 
This is a direct lead into potato’s that sprout…can you eat a potato after it sprouts? Kristin says yes Danna said no way. We chat cute romantic stories of people in their 80 and 90’s. You will not want to miss this weeks episode.
