Pig washing and Dryer Days

Spring break might be wrapping up, but the stories are just getting started on The Mismatched Podcast with Danna and Kristin.
 
Kristin officially checked “laundromat life” off her bingo card after her dryer decided to quit. But in true farm fashion, there’s always a workaround… the barn washer and dryer are now up and running, and honestly, they might be the real MVPs of the week.
 
Meanwhile, a trip to the White House to celebrate the American farmer took an unexpected turn into deep conversations on careers, leadership, and those big job titles that make you stop and think on the drive home.
 
Back on the farm, Kristin hosted a friend for what might be the most “only-at-our-place” kind of day… think baby pig washing, coffee tasting, and plenty of laughs in between.
 
It’s a little bit of real life, a little bit of farm life, and a whole lot of mismatched moments.
 
As we head into Holy Week, we’re also taking a moment to reflect and celebrate with the people who matter most. Wishing you all a meaningful Passover and a joyful Easter.

Telephone Polls to Gas Station Rolls

New episode drop and let’s just say… things got a little mismatched on the road again.
From a stop at Cock of the Walk  to a Nashville fundraiser surprise… this trip kept us on our toes. Somewhere between a telephone pole situation we’re still trying to understand and miles of road ahead, things escalated quickly.

Turkeys Arrived… and Danna Had to Go

This week’s episode is a full St. Patty’s Day recap… and things get a little mismatched (as usual). 
Kristin shares the latest farm update after the turkeys finally arrived, while also revisiting her ongoing complicated relationship with the local post office. Let’s just say… the post office saga is far from over.
Meanwhile, the road trip planning has officially begun. Danna and Kristin are heading south to Mississippi with a stop in Nashville, and if you know these two, you know the car ride alone will probably be its own episode.
We wrap things up with a very fast finish because life happened quickly… the symphonic band scored a 2, and well… Danna also had a very urgent number 2 situation. Timing is everything.

The episode also includes a memorable moment in downtown Columbus during a Buckeye Bound visit to The Ohio State University, where Kristin unexpectedly vacated a restaurant.

Parasites and Red Lights

We’re coming to you mid-snowstorm (40 inches in Rhode Island?! Are people just tunneling to Target at this point?) and somehow we start the episode with “we have nothing to talk about” which is always when things spiral the fastest.
This week’s chaos includes:
 The wrinkle debate.What are those lines from your nose to your mouth and why are they suddenly… aggressive? Do we need facelifts? Frownies? Lymphatic brushes from TikTok Shop? Or is this just collagen packing its bags and leaving the chat?
Red light therapy masks miracle or $500 mistake?Danna breaks down what it actually does (muscle recovery, inflammation, mood boost… allegedly), but then the ski-trip hot tub drama hits. Red dots. Panic Googling. Bed bug flashbacks. Lice PTSD. Turns out? Hot tub folliculitis. Antibiotics for everyone. Public hot tubs are officially cancelled.
Farm update from the barn.Kristin is now the proud mother of two new lambs and still refusing to wash the overalls until lambing season is over. The coat has been washed (breaking news), but the pants may legally qualify as a biohazard. Progress is progress.
Olympic feelings.We’re not ready for the Olympics to be over. Hockey gold, missing teeth, heartfelt moments, and why the Winter Olympics are basically the unhinged best friend of the Summer Games.
Leftovers for 20… from a dinner for 7.Shrimp. Deviled eggs. Soup. Pepperoni bread. A hot cheese dip situation. We may have catered our own podcast night.
And we also share about a really cool networking opportunity our kids were part of because in between lice stories, hot tub bacteria, and lambs being born, we’re still trying to raise capable humans.

NyQuil, Night Bikes & Après Ski

After remote recordings, sound glitches, and long-distance chaos… Danna and Kristin are reunited and it feels so good. This one’s a long ride, but buckle up, it’s worth it.

Butlers and Bleach

Kristin is podcasting from Texas while Danna is back home in Ohio, and the verdict is in: Kristin’s kids are even bougie. From there, the conversation turns to the Olympics and the incredible dedication of Team USA athletes, including Lindsey Vonn, and what it truly means to compete for your country.
We also get into Danna’s shopping habits, with Kristin lending her personal stylist and fully serving as Danna’s butler. If that’s not bougie behavior, we honestly don’t know what is.
Because it wouldn’t be a Mismatched episode without a little chaos, the girls are recording remotely, Danna can’t quite get the volume right, and the sound issues make a guest appearance of their own. Then things take a turn when Danna’s kids somehow bleach their towels just by washing their faces, leading Kristin to question their entire skincare routine.
Willett turns ONE, and yes, it’s a full celebration. We also discover Kristin may need a new travel agent, since her husband insists on booking painfully early morning flights.
